Odonatum Team Kick-off: A Resounding Success!

Organization Design Team

We are thrilled to announce that the very first meeting of the Odonatum team was held this week, marking a significant milestone in our journey. We made valuable progress on a number of different topics and got all our new members (now up to 12) on the same level, regarding current developments.

This blog entry represents both an update for anyone watching Odonatum from afar as well as a official log for the members who couldn’t attend the meeting.

Over the last few weeks a number of critical voices have emerged regarding the current design of our logo. We are looking forward to addressing them, the plan being for Daniel R. to design a number of variations addressing the various concerns like color pallet, symmetry and some other details.

Structuring for Success: Our Organizational Framework

To address concerns about responsibility for development as Odonatum grows we have decided to organize Odonatum based on a core team managing operational responsibilities and many subsidiary technical teams addressing specific design questions.

The Road Ahead: A Look at Our Timeline

A significant portion of our meeting was dedicated to charting out a timeline for the coming months. Our next major milestone is to achieve full TUM-studentclub accreditation by July 10th which will allow us to officially advertise Odonatum on the student club fair in the beginning of winter semester 25/26. In addition we are planing to get in touch with various TUM-chairs and different companies to discuss sponsorships and other support within the next weeks. If some amount of founding can be secured during the next weeks we also want to start development of an initial mockup version of our first Prototype Glossu during the coming semester brake.

Fueling Our Vision: The Quest for Sponsors

The acquisition of strategic sponsors is a top priority for the Odonatum team. We have identified a number of key chairs at TUM which have thematic overlap with our mission or could be vital to ask for specific technical expertise. In addition we are planning to use the IKOM job fair in the coming weeks to personally get in touch with a number of different companies which already have vested interest in the TUM ecosystem.

Welcoming New Faces: Our Growing Team

As this is our first official meeting we have used the chance to get everyone up to date regarding the latest activities at Odonatum. We also discussed the potential acquisition of further members in the coming months, deciding not to spend too much time on recruitment until the beginning of next semester, in order to first get ourselves organized fully. In addition we made plans for our first onboarding event following the student club fair, potentially involving the screening of a very inspiring movie.

The first Odonatum team meeting is an important milestone along our journey. Conducting it in a hybrid format resulted only in minor technical difficulties and sets a precedent for how we conduct future meetings. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to build, innovate, and soar to new heights!
